Having a great reference image is key to creating the best possible portrait of your pet. We always try to capture as much character and detail as possible, so we need an image that represents them clearly and accurately. The three main points here are Lighting, Pet Position and Camera Angle.
Lighting - Great lighting brings out all of the details in your pets eyes & fur that we want to capture. Try to get your image in good natural daylight, rather than in artificial lighting.
Pet Position - You want to capture as much of your pet as possible, so take your picture while your pet is calm and relaxed, with as much of them in view as possible.
Camera Angle- Try to take your image from your pets eye level (yes you’ll have to get on the floor!), so that the proportions are all correct in the image.
Make sure you get the best possible portrait by really considering the image used.
